The Value of Mentoring
This week we have been speaking to past clients about their experience of meeting a mentor. This is in preparation for our tenth anniversary event. First responses have been very positive. ‘practical, honest feedback’, ‘no expectation or judgement’, ‘low risk – not like talking to a bank manager’, ‘I could be myself’. They wondered “what’s the catch?”.
There is no catch. We are just business owners wanting to offer an ear other business owners. We have no more than our experience in business. But that experience is more than profit and sales based, it comes with a wealth of understanding of the emotional journey. There can be no judgement in a shared experience. And because the meeting is held in confidence we can be honest, straightforward, blunt even in our support of our clients.
